The Building and Zoning Department handles all approvals for permits for remodeling and/or new construction. Also, when applying to open a business, the Building and Zoning Department will review and inspect all premises used for businesses. All projects require a permit. Permits are obtained at Village hall and will be inspected by the appropriate inspector(s) - Building, Plumbing, Electrical, and/or Health.
Property Maintenance Inspections are included in the Building and Zoning Department.
The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the second Thursday of each month. Applications for consideration for zoning changes or variances must be made in writing at Village Hall, 157 W. 144th Street.
