The Village of Riverdale is located at the gateway of the Southern Suburbs and sharing a common border with the City of Chicago.
Local piggyback and container service with connections to inter-modal transfers are also available. Riverdale is actively involved in further enhancing the rail system in the Village by developing rail spur lines into industrial sites as opportunities arise.
Redevelopment of the Community & Economic Development Department website was completed by Marta E. Perales, an Economic Development Intern from Congressman Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. District Office in Homewood, Illinois.
