Improvement Program
 | Designed to promote the continued use and maintenance of commercial buildings in the downtown area by helping property owners and tenants to make appropriate exterior improvements for rehabilitation and restoration of eligible structures. |
| To be eligible for a Facade Improvement Reimbursement Grant, a building must be used in whole or in part for commercial purposes and must be located in TIF District #3, 144th Street or Indiana Avenue. |
| Property Owners or business tenants who install at last $1,000 of improvements are eligible to receive a matching grant to reimburse 50% of the cost of construction and 100% of architectural fees, up to a maximum amount established by the Village Board. |
