Planning Projects
 | Study was recently completed
around the commuter stations at 137th and 138th streets.

Initiated a study along
138th Street, from Stewart Avenue to West of Interstate 57. This will
look at this entire area with emphasis on industrial development. |

A transportation and
e-Village study has started at 144th
Street. A community meeting was held, Wednesday, February
27, 2002 at Village Hall. This was the first of a series of community
meetings regarding the future development of the Ivanhoe Metra Station area
and the creation of the

A corridor study along Indiana Avenue has started to help determine the best use
of this key area and to help plan future development along this corridor. |
On-going Projects
 | The
redevelopment of 144th and Atlantic has become reality. The Village
has welcomed CVS Pharmacy and Family Dollar, and look forward to the opening
of Washington Mutual Bank very soon. |

Riverdale Manor (senior
living center at 14422 S. Indiana) has been open for nearly one year and is
accepting applications for rental. This is an senior independent
living complex.

The Community Resource
Center, located at 137th and Wabash, is hosting many programs. Call

Alley construction has
started, funded by Community Development Block Grant funds. |

The Pacesetter Neighborhood Project has begun
with the acquisition of properties along Lowe Avenue, 136-138th Street.
These units will be completely rehabbed and ready for occupancy in early
2007. Holsten Real Estate Development company has been named Master
Developer for the Project which proposes to redevelop the entire area in
four phases. |
